Setting Up Your Payment Password: A Step-by-Step Guide

When you perform a PCM token transfer, Pi withdrawal, or Pi transfer, you will be prompted to set up your payment password. This 6-digit passcode is for payment security and is different from your PCM Wallet login password. Follow these steps to set it up: Method 1: During a Transaction

  1. Prompt to Set Up Password:

    • During PCMT test token transfer, Pi withdrawal, or Pi transfer, you will be prompted to set up your payment password. Click "Continue" to proceed.

Method 2: Via Personal Center

  • Go to your Personal Center in the PCM Wallet app. Click "Account Security" and then select "Payment Setup". Then click "Payment Password Setup".

Setting Up the Payment Password

  • Click "Send Code" to receive an email verification code. Fill in the received code in the designated box. Then, use the security number pad to set up your 6-digit payment password. Click "Submit" to confirm.

Setting Up Touch Pay / Face ID Pay

  • After setting up your payment password, you will be prompted to set up Touch Pay / Face ID Pay. Click "Yes" if you want to enable this feature.

Using Your Payment Password

  • During PCM or Pi payments, you will be asked to enter your payment password or use fingerprint/Face ID to unlock.

Resetting Your Payment Password

  • Visit "Payment Setup" in the settings. Follow the same procedure to reset your payment password.

FAQ: What Happens to the 2FA Code I Previously Set Up?

The 2FA code you previously set up will no longer be in use. It will be replaced by the new payment password. Here’s a brief overview:

  • Transition to Payment Password: The new 6-digit payment password will replace the 2FA code for added security during transactions.

  • Biometric Options: You can also set up Touch Pay or Face ID Pay for a more convenient and secure payment process.

By adopting this new payment password system, we aim to enhance the security and ease of your transactions within the PCM Wallet app.
